I mainly buy in 29205 and 29201 zip codes (I'd recommend staying away from 29203 for an out of state investor).

The main reason we'd like to get into RE is to help supplement our income since my wife stays home with our 3 young children.

I also had a young deeply religious family where the husband worked and the wife stayed home and home schooled the children in their faith. 

You know the house inside and out aren't going to get hit by any surprises. 

I am curious to know if you, as a BP member, been pleasantly surprised in connecting with or finding out about investors and/or lenders?

Surprised you couldn't find anything. 

I'd stay away from 35805 if you do not know Huntsville well or do not have a strong team here helping you. 

I learned how to stay within a budget how to select the right finishes for the price point of the house and how to pre-market it when neighbors walk by and stop to talk and every time you're at Home Depot which was right around the corner.
