New Investor in Frederick, MD

Hello BP! I just moved to the Frederick, Maryland area (originally from Baltimore) after living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the past five years. After listening to podcasts and reading articles on BP for the past few months, I became motivated to pursue a career in real estate investing.

My goal is to be a buy and hold investor in the Maryland area. I feel like I'm gaining a lot of general investing knowledge through BP, but still struggling to know how to locate and purchase my first deal.

It would be great to connect with local people as well as receive any good advice. Thanks in advance and look forward to being part of the BP community!

Welcome to BP @Jeff Kim.  We have plenty of members from the area. Im just a little south of you in Montgomery County, but 2 of my properties are in Frederick.  Frederick is a good stable market. Tenant base is pretty descent, and price/rent ratio is pretty descent.  You dont have the risk that comes with the Baltimore market, but you dont get the high demand and appreciation that you get further south in Gaithersburg/Rockville/Silver Spring.
