I’m 20 years old watched and read plenty of real estate options and things to do to make extra money or at least start making money so that whenever the time comes and I decide to leave the military, I’ll be able to have a nice and stable life without having to look back and wait every 1st and 15th for that paycheck that doesn’t really get anyone far honestly.

We have not decided if son will live in one of units ... initially considered but second thoughts after talking to a close friend that did similar and had big problems... right now most likely not, but possibly in future as his career becomes more stable and shows a bit more responsibility

If you owe credit card debt, pay that off first, if you are behind on bills pay those, if you are in a stable place and your credit is recovering, maybe you could consider this.
