Local banks know you and your situation and if there is something negative on your credit that would force BofA to deny your loan application, you could likely have a conversation with the underwriter of your local bank and they may give you the loan.

If you are not comfortable submitting your W2's, paystubs etc via email to lender that gives you best rate and APR from zillow, and having little to no correspondence after initial phone conversation, then you might consider mortgage brokers in your area.
