It is no longer a couple or small family situation that normally books a 1 or 2 bedroom cabin, but rather an extended family, church group, other types of groups, etc... and just based on the different individuals schedule of all the parties included, it would be hard to do a lot of last minute booking I would think.

I never expected to get a financial benefit out of that relationship, but eventually did.My experience with networking is that you will meet like minded individuals and over a period of time you will get to know each other better and eventually some deal will come along that works for the both of you and you will pull the trigger.

@Ryan StoverAs a California resident who invests in Texas, you will be required to file a CA resident tax return.Since there is no individual income tax in Texas, you don't have to file a non-resident return with TX.If you create an LLC, you will be required to file an LLC tax return with CA and TX.There is some benefit though.
