I have a rental property in Alabama that I have and due to an oversite, the taxes were not paid in 2017, 2018, & 2019 so someone bought the tax lien and paid the taxes for this year. 5/22/2021 , in 2 days the tax cetificate can be turned into a deed but the tax office says I can't pay the taxes unless I have the person with the certificate sign the Verification of Allowable Expenses by Tax Sale Purchaser form, which the guy will not do because he says he now owns the property and I can't redeem it.
