The time frame between ownership would be the key issue, and to my knowledge there is no minimum on that which leaves a grey area open to interpretation.

to my knowledge, and from what I have had explicitly told to me by those who have done this, the payments are processed by computers and minimum wage people, neither of which pays attention to where and whom the payment is coming from.

Find a good broker who is knowledgeable about the FHA guidelines and works with a lot of different banks; often, it's the regional and more local banks who are willing to do the under-90 day flip financing.In terms of larger banks, some Wells Fargo loan originators can get this done and some Flagstar underwriters will do it as well.
