That is 10-20 year old duplex and fourplex that are relativley low maintenance.

It’sLike them wanting to paint the wall after it gets a mark on it.

I'm working on putting together my first deal, a triplex house hack in NJ (one Duplex, One SFH).

I currently dealt with single families and a duplex, I’m trying to learn more about  multi families, so any information you can add would be appreciated.

However, there are duplexs and 4plexs in B neighborhoods like Spring Valley near Chinatown.

I'm looking to apply for a loan and possibly use the Home Possible program with 5% down to purchase a duplex property to live in and rent out the other unit. 

I am interested in purchasing a duplex, where one of the units would be rented out.

Should I consider converting both into duplexes or add granny suites?  

I'd prefer to take the house hacking approach with a duplex, but another route I'm considering is buying a house with built in equity that needs some fixing up and can force appreciation.
