Owner Occupied - Time spent in house requirement

I am interested in purchasing a duplex, where one of the units would be rented out. I would live in the other unit, probably with 2 roommates. I would aim to get owner-occupied financing.

My work office is located nearby the house, and I would file taxes in the same state, and have my mailed delivered there. However, I'm wondering what percentage of my time do I actually have to spend living in the house to qualify for owner occupied financing?  I travel for work a lot on the west coast and have thought about renting an apartment there for convenience. So, is there a requirement on my mortgage that says I have to live (or sleep) in my house X% of the time?
