As a Chinese citizen and US permanent resident myself, it is interesting to learn this information on a real estate investment website.

We are not sure where the future may take us in regards to a permanent home location but we would like to get a feel for what being a landlord is all about.

Tentatively planning to finance through some combination of a professional income and a HELOC, which will then be refinanced into a more permanent debt structure upon completion and leasing. 

Also, they will require a lot higher degree of management than a park with permanent residents or mobile home parks, especially if the park has daily traffic and a lot of amenities.

I always thought that depreciating your property (and getting a tax write off for it) was permanent...
