The protection from fraud that consumers have with an ACH payment versus a credit card payment is that the consumer has 60 days to complain and have an ACH payment immediately reversed without any research into whether the ACH was legit or not.

Sometimes there are other borrowers who are not easy to work with and consume too much time from the lender which effects their ability to properly support other clients.Sometimes, the borrowers deal is not that good and doesn't warrant a ton of time.

We just closed on our most recent purchase in September and are gearing up for a renovation in January, which will consume all of my available time and bandwidth for the next 6 months or so (I own a business that is my "day job" and am only willing to commit so much of my extra time as I do have two kids that deserve my attention) .
