We had a city inspector ask questions once and two of the young ladies in the house told him they were a couple, but maintained separate bedrooms for the benefit of their parents.  ... and that was the end of the questions.

Somethings it’s as simple as filing an application and parking a yearly fee, in other cases you need to have them send an inspector to make sure that he property is up to code.In some cases they come to reinspect on an annual basis, but you are smart to do it legally.

If it doesn’t work for you in state then go out of state but make sure you do your du diligence,get an inspector and have pictures and video taken if you honestly can not go to the property .
