The theory he put forth is that the instability is leading to the wealthy to find safe havens in foreign markets to park some of their assets and real estate in markets like CA, NY, etc, fit the bill.Anyways, I didn't know about the drop off in foreign real estate investments in CA.As organizer of the Seoul REI Meetup out here, I like to keep our investors up to date on issues such as that.Do you have an article reference by any chance?

I get his philosophy and he really likes the south florida market but I would assume that he will test the waters with that investment before picking anything else up down here.I went to the last meetup you organized and it was pretty enlightening.

I'd encourage you to come up with objective criteria so it is easier to make an objective decision.I look for applicants with income in a sweet spot - they lose points for having high income, because it is a red flag of why aren't hey looking for a better place.

Brian-The goal with a 203k is to get a competent contractor that has done it all before, you can google 203k contractors for your area and see if anyone comes up, typically the guys that have a paid ad or have a strong organic search and populate on page 1 are going to be fairly knowledgeable in the space and most likely have done one in the past.
