I just bought our new to us forever home(October 2021).

But this is not going to last forever.

Keep it forever and don’t think about selling it, unless you 1031 it and get a better return.

Many times some leasing brokers sneak in a Perpetuity clause where they get paid essentially forever on month to month , renewals of options, new lease agreements, etc.It can be bad for an owner to agree to such terms because the potential buyer later on sees it as a permanent obligated ongoing expense with that tenant.
