What are some options for someone with no income but a lot of cash to get a loan?

You could do private lending - a loan secured against an asset like real estate - and get the monthly cashflow from it without the overhead of a mortgage, issues with tenants etc.

I bought a Victorian mansion from a friend who hired the local professional flooring/bathroom company to install the bathroom tile and she had 3/6 bathrooms with large tile crack and have other issues that she had to have them come replace the tile twice in one bathroom.

Usually one would think that Tenants are were the liability and issues arise and although there will be issues there, they are all quite simple to handle however, owners can certainly get you in trouble from a liability standpoint.
