Too many new investors fall into this trap of wanting to collect assets and are ego-driven by the doors, but when you have 5 properties bought at 100k that cashflow $100/month, one repair can ruin your profits on all properties at once.

I suppose it's possible the water is just trapped in the basement but it would be unusual that hydrostatic pressure couldn't just push it out of any crack or seam in the basement between the walls and floor or through wall joints/cracks.
