The job of the letter or postcard is to get noticed in the stack,.. then start to build a sentiment of know , like and trust.

I can only imagine that the sentiment has grown stronger since given the developements of the country in the last year.

I'm not one to avoid people in general but if I were I'd avoid  those who think or call others ignorant.It's way too strong and  offensive  a word for the sentiment you are trying to express , in fact some may feel the use of that word in the specific context you  applied exhibits it ig.....( oops I nearly  did it myself)... impaired judgement.

I'm one of those newbies so I appreciate the giving/teaching sentiment shared in this post.
