wholesaling an over-under home

One of my best friends is getting a divorce and wants to walk away from his home (he's in Minneapolis, I'm in San Diego) but it's currently valued at
130-40,000ish and he owes 160,000. I want to help him by wholesaling the home but I'm not sure it's possible.

[b]Side note: This is my first deal... ever.... And I'm doing this for no money and experience to help my friend and his family.

Is it possible to wholesale a home that is over-under?

If not, is there any other possible exit strategy i can deploy?

Thank you for you time.

Aaron
