FYI..for all readers...Sometimes lenders will impose their own internal guidelins.

Since the election the number one search term for new readers coming to my blog is some variation on worries over retirement plan seizure or taxation.

I'm posting here so I can remember where it is and come back in a few hours and edumacate future readers of this thread.

The reader should note that although the property was sold for less than its original cost, there is no loss for tax purposes because the property was sold for more than its book value.

So...I also filter through a lot of this.When I do decide to post, I'm a slow reader, so I don't often jump into threads that are already super hot and popular with hundreds of responses, because I always feel obligated to read all the posts before commenting.

I am a big reader over at various 'retire early' sites (Money Mustache, etc.), and have a decently high savings rate after tax.

I'd expect maybe half of that at best (for future readers that is assuming it's in a declining market in a so-so area not everywhere).
