If your buying REO off the MLS there should not be any problems per se, although many REO are simultaneously listed on auction sites like auction.com or xome.com. and is not without hassles. 

It is a very complicated math problem but at the same time simple. 

You're not trying to do complicated deals here. $50k is a downpayment on a house and that will teach you more than any course on single family residences.

I have had over a hundred tenants which is nowhere near some of the people on the site and have never had a tenant try to look me up and some of my properties are held in my personal name.
