I then informed him that she lied and said we had to do it, and that that's not their policy, he then got mad and hung up on me. 

She was concerned not only that it was a safety hazard which could get a sued, but also it was starting to come down and if it fell it would have torn the front awning down with it.

It is worth keeping in mind that the Fed controls the short-term rates, not the long term ones (now that they stopped buying long term treasuries and even then it was indirectly), which are much more influenced by the long-term expectations of inflation and the international flow of money (think, is there instability in Russia that causes Russians to pull out their money out of the country and invest it in the safe-heaven like US, is the unpredictable and shifting US policy going to keep the US dollar's status as the de facto world currency, etc).

Keep a copy of the guarantee of the 2 year policy, the original treatment date and the 2nd company's inspection report showing termite damage in the event you have to file for a civil court case.

@Octavio Garcia, The LLC does not need insurance, but if you are doing other business operations under the LLC, then you would get a policy.  

@Asim Alam if you are insuring for a total loss, the policies max payout is purchase price plus your additional investment.  

The odds are you won't need to dive into that for years, but the peace of mind it brings to have a safety net cannot be overstated.
