At the moment these are the only strategies I know of that can potentially allow me to generate quick funds so that I can get into other kinds of deals.I'm hoping other experienced investors can share experiences and insights to these concepts and guide me in the right direction.

@Raven Walker - there are several strategies to buying TAX LIENS or buying properties that have tax liens, or buying at TAX LIEN FORECLOSURE SALES...it gets complicated, but that means not many are doing it...if you have more time than money to invest, i'd research the heck out of it, and see if you think you can find an angle that you like.

I am a tad late to this conversation but as an experienced investor, I wanted to touch on several comments in this thread, I will do my best to remember them all.Build your team first (of course this comes after educating yourself on the specific strategy you intend to do with books, BP, mentor, RE group meet ups, etc).

I like to invest to change today (cash flow) and replace my W-2 income, so if I had no matching I would probably stop putting into the 401k and just dedicate that 6% to more investing.It's really about long term personal strategy on this one.
