If there were extenuating circumstances on my end and very strict deadlines I needed to meet for one reason or another I would post the notice but I’d let the tenants know that it’s coming ahead of time.

And that "deposit" would be nice.My solution was just be a regular ole landlord and run this rental as a strict business, and encourage the tenant to buy it if they want.

In general, things like 401(k) or IRA's can only have loans on them from the administrator of that plan.  401(k) have very strict rules and I have never seen a margin account on one.
