Make sure you have the option to renew it after 3 years as well.

In our househack, our tenant (who's been great) wants to renew for 6 months while adding a roommate, but the roommate wants to stay for an entire year.

Now the lease is up for renewal and Dollar General wants me to sign a contract for 6 years with no increase in rent.
