Probably the best place is the market place.

I recommend setting up keyword alerts for each area as they are discussed in the forums daily with advertisements posted in the BiggerPockets marketplace hourly.One thing to note when looking at the individual markets, you can make or lose money in any market.

@Nick Littleton If you'll ever consider managing it remotely by yourself, you can check out alcoverooms (a marketplace) as they specialize in rental by rooms.

Unfortunately in the current marketplace overbidding is a regularity.

I can rent a vacancy before someone moves out or within a week or two max.Make sure it is listed on Zillow,  if that isn't getting it done put it on FB marketplace. 

Maybe this is a rookie question, but how should I assess a listing say on Zillow, Marketplace or Craigslist?

If you're looking for more consistent roommates I would try Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, and my personal favorite roomies.com.
