I live outside of Philly in south Jersey… I will be starting from scratch if I join commercial or residential…I have a w2 job so I will be building my business 3 hours per day 2 hours cold calling and learning my markets ..My goal is to transition out of my w2 once I have established a flow of deals..My question with the market transition does it matter if I pick commercial vs residential…

In northern areas, or where it is very humid, it is a much bigger deal than say in the the Dallas, TX area, where it doesn't get "that" cold (normally or for long spells) and it is not really that humid compared to places along the gulf or East/West coasts.Hope that helps!

Sometimes a text/sms campaign is more effective if you aren't getting results with cold calling. 

I am not a fan of cold calling because the homeowner does exactly what you just mentioned. 

Look for a good agency that also offers leads so your not going out just cold calling or waiting for a paycheck!
