Question for commercial brokers

Hi all I need advice after many years being in referral agent status I have decided to activate my real estate license. I was initially looking getting back into residential but recently got approached to get into commercial real estate. I live outside of Philly in south Jersey… I will be starting from scratch if I join commercial or residential…

I have a w2 job so I will be building my business 3 hours per day 2 hours cold calling and learning my markets ..

My goal is to transition out of my w2 once I have established a flow of deals..

My question with the market transition does it matter if I pick commercial vs residential…
