I would ask in a separate post and include in your subject line "Looking for investor friendly banks in XXXX"  And let XXXX be the target area you are looking to invest in. 

IRAs are subject to unrelated debt finance income (UDFI) when borrowed funds are utilized to invest in real estate. 

Always do the math analysis and try to look at your prospective properties before you make an offer or at least have a clause in the sales contract that allows you the time (10 to 15 days) to make a entailed inspection of the subject property and possibly back out of the deal without a penalty that hurts you too much.Do not cut any corners on your evaluations to make them look better on paper but not in reality.  

The cash on hand is lower if I refinance, however if i sell then i'm subject to capital gains.

Regarding your question, I'm sure there are many different opinions on the subject.

It's a tide that is pretty hard to fight.If the subject comes up, we tell applicants (and tenants): "We welcome qualified service animals for people with qualified disabilities.
