Your English is good, the message was received which is all that matters.

Design changes are typically included by the Civil Engineer on our projects, so it was just a matter of a new storm plan sheet being issued and distributed with the change.  

If you personally feel strange about it, though, it doesn't matter what I'd do, just pass ... like Jay says, plenty of other fish in the sea.

No matter who you talk to will give you some knowledge or different perspective.  

I love listening to the podcasts and even if the subject matter is something you aren't interested in, it helps to have a familiarity with all aspects of RE.Once you are comfortable with that, I am sure that there are plenty of posts here on BP that you can analyze yourself. 

Pros - they may appreciate your resourcefulness and be intrigued by your willingness to think outside the box, or they MAY not realize how hard to find they are with respect to those properties, or you just might catch them at right time - they've been thinking about unloading the properties for a while and you've given them a viable exit no matter how annoyed they are about where you reached out to them  I'm not aware of any rules/laws prohibiting you from doing so, maybe somebody else can speak to that if there are some restrictions you should be aware of.
