@Megan Fitzgerald  Another way is to help limit adults is to limit the number of vehicles especially if this is going to create a neighborhood problem if you have 5/6 vehicles. 

Now when you come back you have more choices and can either move back in, or if the rental is doing well, buy another house.Good Luck.
