Another way to solve occupancy challenges, which I strongly encourage, is adding a few more features so guests will feel less desire to leave and find comforts, such as a hot tub (with great photos, including lights on at twilight), well stock the home and make a big deal of this(especially coffee and the ease of making it), buy more indoor and also outdoor games, photograph them in use and describe them via verbiage in the listing.

If all you are finding is a few mismatched pieces of furniture with no clear value, and a lot of rubbish, maybe some personal items strewn about, with no "normal" indicators of current use, and especially if utils are off; or if you find the house keys sitting on the kitchen counter or hanging by the door, these are all pretty good indicators it has been abandoned.

I'd like to have someone draw up a design that includes all the details from lighting and power locations to furniture placement.

Hi fellow STR hosts,We’ve had several instances where our cleaning team has reported damages to furniture upon checking in, such as major scratches on the new dining table or chipped nightstands.

Not sure why you bought furniture for a house you didn't plan to move in (short term rental?).

During this time, we fix all the minor things wrong with it - there's nothing major, but details can be improved.Year 2: A year from now (Nov '23), we rent out this home as a MTR, leaving most of our furniture.

Bought partially furnished - Unless brand new furniture, don't do this!

I unpacked item by item, putting every article possible in the washer and wiping down every piece of furniture with bleach inspecting for egg sacs.
