I recently acquired a property in Michigan and a former tenant is now claiming that I owe her the return of her security deposit.

They claimed to have a buyer for their home and gave me a $1000 earnest money deposit which i haven't cashed.  

I think the reason that most CPAs do this and continue to do this is that state Bar Associations are extremely lackadaisical about pursuing UPL claims.

Say something like: "while I am a licensed Agent, I am as interested in buying your house as I am in listing it" (if that's true)...and end it with something like "if your home is currently listed, please have your Agent call me".Not only does that allow you to head off claims of poaching, but who knows?

As far as the inspector, I talked to him and all the indicators he had used to make this claim I could dismiss as no related to his claim.  

you'll come to find out that your claims does not limit to just re agents.

Hey All, I'm trying to get a google voice number setup and I can't get rid of the "please state your name and we will try to connect you" standard message before it rings to my number then plays my custom voice message.I've called from 4 different numbers, half the time it goes directly to my custom message and half the time it plays the automated message then goes to my custom message.  

While the VA claims their appraisal process is just as fast, some areas have very few approved appraisals and getting it done could take longer than expected.
