At the minimum, I think I should find out what type of rent this franchise would expect to pay, the repositioning cost of the property to turn it into a restaurant, and see if I can purchase a property that offers those terms.I'd appreciate any advise you guys can offer in putting something like this together.

house a) beautiful, wide tree-lined street with big, established houses, drs/lawyers and executives as neighbors...quiet street very close to a hot downtown area, highly desirable area near great restaurants, walk to riverfront parks, walk to train to NYC.

There's a weekly meetup at Big Daddy's burger restaurant  (I-183/Burnett) w/a sizeable group (40-50 folks) covering diverse niches that I would recommend.  

There is a larger young working class from restaurants and such that would appreciate the location. 

Any experienced Houston investor interested in a free dinner/drinks next week at a restaurant of his/her choosing to have a newbie pick their brain about marketing techniques. 

Next meet up is Wed Oct 11 at 7pm @ O'leary's Restaurant 3828 South Lindbergh. 

It has the Cardinal stadium, lots of restaurants, and Tanger outlet mall near by for discount shopping.

Part of the funds we have raised is with a loan through a Mexican bank @ 9% APR.

We are largely dependent on lower wage employment like hospitality/restaurant and tourism so many of those people that do own will be in trouble and likely go into foreclosure or do loan mods which will also get them in trouble down the line. 

I'd imagine renters wanting to live close to shops, libraries, and restaurants.
