I am on this site reading more then and other social media.

I've done a fair amount of research on real estate investing strategies and cash flowing multi families are where I'd like to begin my journey.I am a road warrior of a Software Consultant by day and have a pretty active social life thereafter.

I am no economist (in fact hated that class in school) but if you look at the amount of Federal debt, the fact that Social Security and Medicare are running out of money, that to keep the economy propped up the Fed just prints more money, I have to agree with these more fringe prognosticators that we are in for a correction in the near future.  

Unlike passive rental income, the income from an active trade or business is subject to self employment tax (a nasty 15% tax commonly referred to a "social security and medicare" by working folks).

Any issues renting 2 couple with social security income ?

I'm not a big social networking guy, I'm a somewhat shy 44 year old, so it took me a while to decide to give it a try.
