Newbie from NYC

Greetings from Harlem NY! A family member and I are interested in rental properties. We have zero experience but know that Newark and certain Bronx neighborhoods are way cheaper than Harlem. We hope to one day hold property in our own 'hood. We both work full-time and have children. We're aiming to leave them a 'financial legacy'..

I've always been interested in Real Estate. I've tried a few multilevel marketing businesses and my own small ventures but I keep coming back to the topic of real estate. I feel it in my gut. It gets me so excited!!

For now, we're collecting information and learning as much as we can. We're thinking we'll need an LLC.

Any advice helps! I'm coachable and all ears!

You are in the RIGHT PLACE..BP.....I'm from the Bronx  In addition to what was posted also figure out what you want to do.....Your Strategy.....buy and hold, flipping, wholesaling, the list goes on. As @Paul Timmins posted READ....READ.....READ........Books by @Brandon Turner, Millionaire Real Estate Investor, ABC's of Real Estate Investing, The One Thing....and If you have a I pad or whatever devise you have put the books on the devise and you can read wherever.  Podcast listen to them and then listen to them again you are going to hear something you did not hear before!!!!!! However you commute plane, train, bus, automobile use that to educate yourself...TRAVELING UNIVERSITY that is what ZIG ZIGLER calls it. That is what I do as I drive to work. Most importantly 1.WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS, 2. CREATE A ROADMAP TO GET THERE.....SEE YOU AT THE TOP
