Should I begin wholeselling with the goal to be a full time investor, or start by getting a real estate license?

Just completed a large remodel on my primary residence ($90k in) with the goal of refinancing to consolidate some personal debt and pull some additional cash for other real estate related projects, BUT ran into a road block with a lender.

The birth of my son made me question my goals, as I don't want to work 55-60 hours a week.

If it's unrealistic to have this goal, I'd love some input to get a bare bones starter single family home. 

I want to start connecting with like minded individuals in hopes to help each other achieve our long/ short term goals in the investing world.

My goal when investing for a rental (personally and I know it will change base on the purchase price of the home)150 per door after insurance, taxes, mortgage, and 10% repairs 10% property managers and %10 vacancy

The whole goal is just to upsell you into a much more expensive program.

My goal is too close on 100 wholesale deals and too gain the knowledge too start doing full rehabs and flips.

While I'm quite young and not worried about "early retirement", financial independence is definitely the end goal and the freedom it provides.
