I realize that Mahhattan is a very extreme place to start REI, but any tips or hints for someone young living looking to start ASAP, is greatly appreciated!

On cyberhomes.com it is listed as an estimate of 491K and the range goes from 442-560K The person said that all it needs is paint and sanding of the floors which I also take with a grain of salt...

If you are doing a flip where the kitchen or bath had to be redone, then Ikea stuff looks nice, and it would sure look better than moldy mousy cabinets and a stained sink.However, on kitchens, unless you need to change the configuration of the cabiets, you can work miracles with paint, new hardware, and new countertops.There are only a couple of times when I will remove existing cabinets, which are: They are in the wrong place.

So I do get some property for as low as $ 2500 that with some paint and carpet are rentable.

Its full of asbestos, mold and lead paint.

I was surprised when they told me they would do all the painting as well as the repairs.
