I'm really glad my heart surgeon didn't get all of his training exclusively from online discussion groups and off the shelf books, but then, over the lifetime of REI, being responsible for millions and millions of dollars isn't nearly as important as the heart valve I'm now using.

I would switch to using a tech company to buy/sell houses in a heart beat if they offered me transparency, selection, and the ability to view a house (which Realtors already use an app to open lock boxes on houses).

This shifts your potential turnover time frame to Summer rather than Winter (of course if you're in Phoenix or some other warm climate, that may not matter..see Q#1).
