One thing that people might find interesting is that for example Dallas Housing Authority may allow grantees of the Sec 8 vouchers to live in area cities other than Dallas....maybe even encouraging them to live in the burbs.

Currently I am Nursing Student here in Dallas looking to house hack for my next place to live.

But there are laws in certain municipalities, city of Dallas comes to mind, where the city code inspectors have to inspect the property to ensure its habitable.
