Multi Family (2-4 Unit) Opportunities in Dallas Area

Hello BiggerPockets community!

I am newbie here but a long time real estate lover. Currently I am Nursing Student here in Dallas looking to house hack for my next place to live. I learned about this community through reading The Book on Investing In Real Estate With No (and low) Money Down. I am originally from Oklahoma City and want to get into real estate eventually there because of the opportunity and market.

Multi family homes here in the Dallas area seem like they are hard to come by (2-4 units) or just maybe I don’t know where to look.
I've had thoughts of a FHA loan to purchase my first property but also have been looking into other creative opportunities that could be possible as well.

@Marque Luster Currently working on the same goal using the VA loan in the Pensacola, FL area. Its difficult to come by, If you do come by one it probably contingent before it even hits the MLS. Consider buying a 3+ house 2 bath single family house and renting by the room to your colleagues at nursing school or maybe Airbnb both rooms while living in one if your in a Airbnb market. Its still consider house hacking! Many rookie real estate investors are doing it and scale that way too. Check out all the house hacking episodes that BP provides along with their house hacking book.
