You have to buy right, know where the market is headed, know ALL of your expenses and know what your various "outs" are before you commit to a property or you will lose your shirt.  

As a neighbor, personally I don't care if someone smoke a little weed every now and then, but if they are smoking non stop 25 times a day, you might lose a good tenant over that. 

SIH has some marketing gimmick with the Real Estate Guys where they bus unsuspecting retail customers around to the sites to see home being built.

I have been working with my contractor about 23 years now and when we get involved in a project I go to the site at least 4-5 times per week.

I've seen landlords live in blissful ignorance for 5-10 years due to dumb luck, then their world comes crashing down and they lose everything.I have a book, there are some in the BP bookstore, or you can check out one of my personal favorites, Every Landlord's Legal Guide by NOLO.

You can lose your butt out here if you don't buy right.

I would try and explain to her you're also losing out due to the cancellation.

There are sites out there like passive pockets as well as this site where you can find out a lot from people who have invested with that fund.

Costs a lot less to do all pad sites together versus individually. 2.
