I have a very strange situation.I was taking reading on almost everyday to see how fast the numbers are moving.2 days later it showed 200 Gallons6th days 700 gallons which is too high since we did not do laundry and used dishwasher just 1 or 2 timesI kept making conversation with customer serviceThen on 7th day it jumped 4500 gallons !!!!

Yes you can try to bill the tenants for water if you set it up that way but in many case you will still get billed and be responsible for the bill.Check for the area also if water and sewer rates usage per gallon etc. has been going up each year or hasn't been raised but is fixing to go up dramatically.

Today, that property may rent for 10 times it's original rent, in 1960, gas was 25 cents a gallon, a loaf of bread was a nickle, so you can see that the value of a dollar over time is eaten up by inflation.

We assumed these two things were related, but later found out that the ceiling damage had occurred three years ago when the upstairs kitchen sink drain ruptured and released several gallons of water, some of it going down into ceiling of the unit below.Since we did not know where the wastewater pipe connected to, we considered it a "common element" meaning a part of the condo that is used by multiple owners.
