Horizontal blinds...unless you are covering a very large picture window or a sliding glass door; then you would likely use a vertical blind system.We buy the cheapo plastic Lowes blinds and add curtain rods to make certain we don't have tenants standing on wobbly chairs nailing rods into the walls down the road.If we decide to also add curtains (often) I'll buy them either on ebay or the sheers from my Dollar General ($5 a panel).Gail

Simple fixes; get rid of the shrubs, add shutters, some flowering plants, some kind of decoration over the garage door - those big stars seem to be popular in suburban areas, one or two patio chairs and a small table on the porch, simple stuff like that can make a big difference.

@Marcia Maynard,It is good thinking on your part but are you going to get yourself a rocking chair and sit outside your unit and see who come and go so you can nail them for $50 bucks.

I would add that you get your broker's license A.S.A.P.  ... you can still get your experience with a good firm and have your broker license in your back pocket. ( Or back BIGGERPOCKET ).There is nothing better than sitting in the "Captain's Chair".That is what I did :-)
