What kind of Blinds are suitable for rental - SF

Question

I have one single family house in C - area. We rehabbed the entire house and now looking for Blinds to install. Do not know what quality and what kind of blinds I should install. Also, is there any place where I can find the good price for Blinds? Can you suggest any websites or any 1-800 phone#?

@Padma Mody you're going to find your best prices at the big box stores like HD (Home Depot) or Lowe's. They have a big variety.

We don't mess with blinds because they break easily. We install curtain rods on all the windows and let the tenants buy whatever curtains they want for it. Works great. Once the curtain rods are installed, no more expense.

Michelle Na  suggested above.  Buy the cheapest blinds possible at Lowes/HD, and toss them out when they break or when the property turns over.

Horizontal blinds...unless you are covering a very large picture window or a sliding glass door; then you would likely use a vertical blind system.

We buy the cheapo plastic Lowes blinds and add curtain rods to make certain we don't have tenants standing on wobbly chairs nailing rods into the walls down the road.

If we decide to also add curtains (often) I'll buy them either on ebay or the sheers from my Dollar General ($5 a panel).

Thanks for all comments. I checked the price with Lowe's and HD. I think I will go with Lowe's. They have good price compare to Home Depot. What kind of blinds are good? Vertical blinds or Horizontal blinds?

here is what I do. We buy the cheap blinds from Lowes. $5-6.00 each.  We do put these blinds in our houses.  They are cheap and when, yes when the tenant ruins them it is simple and cheap to slap in another. Usually don't even change the holders.

It also serves another purpose. In our lease agreement we have a clause that states that if we see damage to the property we can go in and investigate without twenty four hour notice. And since these blinds do get damaged on a regular basis, it allows us to get into the house to investigate.
