While many events are for members only, I believe the bus trip is open to the public, and they have at least one free event per month.Regarding your capital, you have more than enough to go directly into multi family which would allow you to build passive income faster.  

@Ralph R. the trip costs are deductible, I usually go once a year but haven't been able to this year.I prefer a cash back card, using Citi Double Cash these days, 2% rebate.

The trip pretty much answered many of my initial questions/concerns. 

The speaker Doug Clark showed pictures throughout the weekend about his cars, the houses, the money, the trips, more cars, but also kept selling CONSTANTLY his "Diamond Program" that apparently is based in Utah.
