Can I postpone the requested showing time when he has limited time in town?

Ask the seller if his property is in foreclosure and if he/she says no, let him know there are sites stating it is and then if still not satisfied, you can confirm if its in foreclosure or not by getting a prelim for a nominal fee.if it is and its just the notice of default, there is time but if its the notice of sale, there is little time but still, if there is a deal to be had, the seller can request a postponement showing that they are under contract and anticipate a close shortly.

The seller requested postponement of closing to September 30th, and it then went forward on the 30th as scheduled.  

Properties not sold or postponed from the February public auction are normally offered at public auction the second Monday in May. 

You should plan to convert to that at some point, or if it's within 12-24 months would even postpone development potentially.  

.- I believe I can borrow up to $50K easily from the 401K, then pay it back w/ minimal interest which goes back to me.One big question on this though... if i put the money in the 401k now, I'm basically postponing paying taxes on it.  

Foreclosures get canceled and postponed fairly often.
