I really don't like Landlords that try to burn their candle on both ends.

I never noticed it while they were there as they always had candles burning.

Your unit is much more likely to catch fire from smoking, cooking, candles, or an electrical short.Exclude smokers.

You could also buy them something small, like a house plant or candle.
