There are genres of business that have been met with resistance, but there are a few business ideas I'm shocked no one has tried yet!

The risk is different in the genre of construction loans.

Hi Jason,There are lots of great books on real estate investing generally, and some more specific ones in the genre, and your preference and reading list may depend on whether you are a die hard flipper or a long term buy and hold person, and also if you plan on managing the place (which I recommend at least reading about and even trying)...

Everyone in that market, genre or niche will want to call you before they make a decision to buy, sell or will call you just to chat about the market.  

This is because HELOCs fall into more the retail banking genre of products/services, and not so much in the mortgage realm (even though technically they are of course mortgages).

@Samuel Garcia I have a long list, what genre are you thinking in particular?  

One on real estate, one on life, one of any relevant genre.

The demographic most of these properties service are low income and high maintenance as well so it is not easy to find a manager willing to service those genre of properties.

I’d probably put them in the B+ to A category in the mobile home park genre.
