I would stick with an acrylic pan for the shower and  only replace it if it is cracked.

Acrylic coated metal, and clay tiles will have minor repairs after 20 years in most installation, if properly installed.Assuming you get 10% of the total jobs in the repair and re-roof business in you target area, then you do your volume calculation of your materials per square per residential roof.

If you are gluing it down I recommend using an acrylic adhesive which has more strength.

You may be better off with a clear or white acrylic sealant right at the edge of the frame.

It's so much better than before.You could remove the small amount of tile above the tub, add shower piping, add an acrylic surround, replace that tub and be done for a good many years in there.

I have heard a lot about granite and expect that Formica would be more for low grade properties, but what about wood, tile, solid acrylic or stainless steel?
