Is it best to start where i live so i can hire contractors to remodel then expand?

For a 2BR townhome that’s 700-800 or as high as 900 if it’s remodeled with a basement

Was there anything different about remodeling a mobile home compared to a house or an apartment?

Initial down payment 10 years back 120K, recent remodel 400K, balance mortgage 300K.

My capex budget includes but not limited to: roof 25 years, floors 10 years ( unless carpet then 5 years), appliances, and hot water heater 12 years, hvac 20 years, bath and kitchen remodel 20 years, etc.

I have specialized in residential construction (New construction and remodeling) over the past 6 years, and plan to embark into the real estate investment world in the near future.
